  1.       Catheters may sometimes need to be
  2.   placed into large veins through the skin. The
  3.   catheter differs from the port in that its end
  4.   is left outside the skin; the tube enters the
  5.   body through a small puncture. Catheters can
  6.   have up to three inner lines so that different
  7.   solutions‚Äîmedication or nourishment, for
  8.   example‚Äîcan be given concurrently.
  9.       To support radiation therapy , an
  10.   operation can be performed to implant
  11.   catheters that are subsequently loaded with a
  12.   radio emitter.
  13. ‚Ä¢ To treat complications Tumors or their
  14.   treatments often suppress the immune
  15.   system.  This can lead to infections, bowel
  16.   perforations or obstructions that may
  17.   require surgical treatment.
